Founded in 1982 with a small cohort of 50 students, AMS has steadily evolved into a well-established educational institution. Over the years, it expanded its infrastructure with separate branches and enhanced its academic system by transitioning to the Aga Khan University Examination Board.

A strong focus on teacher development, supported by AKU-IED, led to the creation of a Professional Development Centre. The school has promoted global exposure through international student programmes and remained resilient during challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic through effective online learning.

The establishment of the Higher Secondary School in 2025 reflects its ongoing commitment to growth and academic excellence.
